Client Guidebook
Your first days follow a clear routine. We walk you through daily structure, phone and visitor policies (these vary by program), and how to work with your case manager. This guidebook keeps the details in one place. We also explain how your family stays involved throughout treatment.
Client Guidebook, The Details
Your first full day at Dorsey Recovery follows a set schedule. We wake you, share breakfast, then move into morning groups. Afternoons mix therapy, skill sessions, and quiet time. We post the daily plan where you can see it.
Phone and visitor rules depend on your program. Here is the general shape:
- Detox and early residential often limit phone access at first. This protects rest and focus.
- Access usually expands as you stabilize.
- Visitor days are scheduled, not open. We give families the times in writing.
You meet your case manager within the first days. They track your treatment plan, coordinate with clinical staff, and handle logistics like insurance and step-down planning. Bring them your questions. That is what they are there for.
Families stay involved through several channels. We hold family sessions when clinically appropriate. We offer education about what recovery asks of everyone. With a signed release, we can share updates.
Ask us anything you do not understand. We would rather explain twice than leave you guessing.
